The Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) is pleased to announce a new partnership with the National Golf Course Owners Association Canada (NGCOA Canada).  Effective today, the CGSA and NGCOA Canada will work together to present a single Golfmax Purchasing Program to the Canadian golf industry that will deliver increased value to both memberships for turf and golf course operation supplier needs. With the CGSA's full endorsement of the Golfmax Purchasing Program, program awareness, negotiating power, and program utilization will grow. This growth of the Golfmax Purchasing Program will result in cutting operational expenses for our combined membership and a growth in market share for Golfmax suppliers, creating a win-win scenario for the Canadian golf industry.

Jim Flett, AGS, President of the CGSA said, "The Board of Directors are excited about introducing this value added program to the golf management membership across Canada.  Golfmax can provide significant turf department savings especially during the fall buying period."  He also noted, "By being a CGSA member and using the Ultramar program Muskoka Lakes will save over $1,200 annually in fuel purchases alone.  I'm eager to see where we can also save with the other turf suppliers."

"Our alignment with the CGSA for the turf and operations portion of the Golfmax Purchasing Program will allow the NGCOA Canada to develop new supplier programs, strengthen existing supplier programs, and ultimately increase the number of members that save through Golfmax. We are very excited to be partnering with the CGSA on this project," said Jeff Calderwood, Chief Executive Officer, NGCOA Canada.

The Golfmax Purchasing Program is the largest golf specific group buying program in Canada, with $80 million in purchases and nearly $4 million in savings having been realized by golf clubs between July 1, 2016 - and June 30, 2017.  There is no cost to register - access to the Golfmax Purchasing Program is included in a CGSA superintendent or golf course management membership.
