- Green Resource announced the hiring of David Lee, Ph.D., GCSAA Class A member, as Director of Agronomy. Previously, Lee served as Director of Golf & Grounds at Forest Creek Golf Club in Pinehurst, N.C. and Hope Valley Country Club in Durham, N.C.
- Deere & Company announced a new multi-year partnership with Major League Baseball. As the Official Tractor of MLB, Deere will highlight the work that goes into every season, from maintaining backyards to caring for ballfields across communities where the game is played.
Monday, April 6
- Rain Bird Golf announced the launch of its new 952LT Long-Throw Block Rotor, a new irrigation solution designed to support the evolving scale and creativity of modern golf course design. With a maximum throw radius of up to 115 feet, the 952LT gives superintendents, irrigation consultants and golf course architects greater flexibility to plan and maintain larger greens, wider fairways and more expansive course layouts. - The Golf Course Builders Association of America Foundation announced the appointment of a newly structured board of directors, along with a renewed strategic focus designed to strengthen workforce development, education, and industry outreach initiatives. - The Musser International Turfgrass Foundation has selected Dr. Maureen Kahiu as the 2026 Award of Excellence recipient. The prestigious award is given to outstanding Ph.D. candidates who, in the final phase of their graduate studies, demonstrated overall excellence throughout their doctoral program in turfgrass research.
