The Rounds 4 Research online auction will be held Monday, April 26 through Sunday, May 2, with more than 900 rounds of golf up for grabs at courses in 45 states plus the Cayman Islands and Costa Rica. Each round includes two or four players. You can preview all the offerings in the 2021 auction now, and you can donate a round throughout the event.

Rounds 4 Research is a venture of the Environmental Institute for Golf, the philanthropic organization of GCSAA. It is presented in partnership with The Toro Co. Funds generated by the auction support the research-related activities of GCSAA and its affiliated chapters. Since its launch in 2012, Rounds 4 Research has raised more than $1.7 million for turfgrass research, education and advocacy programs. Even during the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 auction brought in over $263,000.

“With the popularity of golf surging in the last year, Rounds 4 Research offers golfers a chance to play a round at a notable golf course or a local favorite, while funding turfgrass research that supports the future of the game,” says Rhett Evans, GCSAA CEO. “We are grateful to all the facilities and golf management companies that have contributed to the 2021 Rounds 4 Research auction.”

Some of the high-profile facilities that have donated rounds for the auction include Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head Island, S.C.; French Lick (Ind.) Resort; Ohoopee Match Club in Cobbtown, Ga.; Sanctuary in Sedalia, Colo.; Kiawah Island (S.C.) Golf Resort; Sutton Bay in Agar, S.D.; Nanea Golf Club in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; and Sand Valley in Nekoosa, Wis.

Several golf course management companies have also joined the effort to support turfgrass research through donating rounds, among them American Golf, ClubCorp, the Dormie Network, Founders Group International, Indigo Golf, Marriott Golf, the PGA Tour’s TPC Network, and Troon Golf.
